Policies & Procedures

We are so glad you are here at Thrive River Stone. To keep our home a safe, gentle sanctuary where you can truly focus on your healing, we follow these simple agreements. They exist to protect your privacy, ensure mutual respect, and safeguard the peace of every person in our community.

Life at the House

Thrive River Stone is your sanctuary. We are here to walk alongside you, offering a space where safety and mutual respect allow for true transformation. These agreements help protect your peace and the privacy of your journey. If you find these expectations difficult to meet, our team will provide extra support to help you stay on track, as our priority is keeping this home a calm place for everyone to heal.

KEEPING OUR HOME PRIVATE

To ensure everyone feels secure, we ask you to:
- Keep our home’s location private and confidential
- Avoid posting photos of the house or grounds online
- Respect the privacy of your fellow residents on social media
- Keep our shared security steps between us

MINDFUL TECHNOLOGY USE

To help you focus inward and stay safe, we adjust how we use devices:
- Personal phones and laptops are kept securely in a Faraday bag upon arrival
- We enjoy a social-media-free environment to encourage deep healing
- You will have access to a program tablet for essential tasks
- We provide safe ways to email or call approved loved ones

MAIL AND PACKAGES

To keep your environment peaceful and safe:
- We use a private off-site address for all deliveries
- Our Advocate will help you open your mail when it arrives
- We check all parcels together to ensure only supportive items enter our space

SUPPORT WITH MEDICATION

We help manage your health needs so you can focus on recovery:
- All medications are kept in a secure, locked area in the office
- For safety, we ask that no pills or vitamins be kept in your room
- We will provide your doses at scheduled times exactly as your doctor ordered
- Our team keeps a careful log of your medicine to ensure you are feeling your best

CREATING A SAFE SPACE

To maintain a gentle atmosphere, we do not allow:
- Sharp tools, blades, or weapons of any kind
- Alcohol, unprescribed drugs, or nicotine products
- Any flammable or hazardous materials
If you have an item you are unsure about, our Advocates can store it safely for you.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

We suggest bringing items that make you feel at home:
- About 12 outfits and 5 pairs of comfortable shoes
- Basic hygiene products (though we have extras if you need them)
- Soft journals and books without metal spirals
- Comfort items like weighted blankets or sensory objects

HEALING BOUNDARIES

Healthy relationships are key to your growth. We are here to help you:
- Create a safe distance from high-risk situations or people
- Set firm, loving personal boundaries
- Plan for safe social interactions
- Navigate visits: We start with a quiet period focused only on you.

YOUR DAILY PATH

Monday through Thursday follows a predictable flow:
- Mornings: Shared reflection and quiet time
- Daytime: Therapy and workshops
- Evenings: Shared meals and quiet hours
Weekends offer more space for outings and flexibility.

YOUR RIGHTS & PROMISE

You always have the right to:
- Be treated with dignity and kindness
- Receive care that respects your history
- Be a partner in your healing plan
- Practice your faith freely in a supportive environment

At Thrive River Stone, we know your past does not define your future. We believe in your strength and your ability to reclaim a life of freedom. It is an honor to support you.

Resident Expectations

At Thrive River Stone, we ask each resident to help keep this home safe, respectful, and rooted in gentle community. These expectations are not about perfection, but about protecting your healing and the healing of others.

These expectations are meant to walk with you, not against you. When challenges come up, our team will work alongside you to find a way forward that honors both your needs and the safety of the community.

CONFIDENTIALITY

- Honor the privacy and stories of others by keeping what is shared in the home confidential.

SOBRIETY & SAFETY

- Support a calm, substance-free environment by following our sobriety and safety guidelines.

SHARED SPACES

- Care for shared spaces so the house remains clean, peaceful, and welcoming.

COMMUNICATION

- Communicate with honesty and kindness, even when conversations are hard.

DAILY RHYTHMS

- Participate in the program with a willing heart, engaging in therapy, groups, and daily rhythms as you are able.

BOUNDARIES & SUPPORT

- Work with staff to follow safety plans, technology boundaries, and visitation guidelines.
- Let us know when something feels overwhelming so we can adjust and support you.
